PWNA Services

Partnership With Native Americans® (PWNA) meets its mission through a dual approach – serving immediate needs and supporting long-term solutions on reservations in 9 priority states. We address six concerns or pillars of service, including food and water, education, health, emergency services, holiday support, and animal welfare.

The people PWNA most directly impacts are our reservation Program Partners. Regardless of the partner’s core focus (e.g., nutrition, education, health, etc.), our main goal is to help improve reservation programs and develop local leaders who can drive social change. PWNA measures this change through partner-focused outcomes gathered through annual surveys. In turn, our partners work directly with community members on client-focused outcomes such as reducing hunger and disease rates or increasing graduation rates. PWNA’s program logic model shows that, as our Program Partners become more effective, they are more likely to create a positive impact in their communities. So, the continued growth of our partners moves us toward our vision of strong, self-sufficient Native American communities.

2023 Aid by Major Program

This chart shows the results of anonymous surveys sent to our entire base of Material Services partners, about half of whom responded. Our partners clearly report that PWNA has a positive impact on them and their ability to better serve their communities.

Immediate Relief

Show a baseline chart of outcomes (a watchdog requirement). We currently show 5 years, but it could be 3 years. (For instance, we show only 3 years of annual reports, 990s, and audits.)

This next chart shows the results of long-term solutions that are led by our Program Partners and emerging leaders, as well as capacity building and higher education. Even our newest services are already yielding positive outcomes for partners, participants, and communities on the reservations.

Long-Term Solutions

Show a 1-year chart of outcomes (a watchdog requirement). The 2023 data is pending review, but we usually update the LTS and MS charts at the same time – and we’re still waiting for the 2023 survey data. We should have the data by March 31, per Misty.
