Emergency Preparedness

Description – Our Emergency Preparedness service builds capacity by helping Tribal communities focus on readiness to respond when disaster or environmental emergencies strike. Through Emergency Preparedness, we support Tribal communities in end-to-end disaster planning, from asset mapping to detail their community resources and gaps, to identifying effective response strategies and organized response plans for specific types of emergencies, to training Tribal citizens in CPR and First Aid, and use of AAEDs.

[CERT] is a wonderful way to help us organize ourselves because, unfortunately, there’s a reason why MMIW has become a movement in Indian Country.
