Animal Welfare

Animal Welfare

About 70% of pets in underserved communities have never seen a veterinarian.

PWNA supports animal welfare groups on the reservations in our service area. These Program Partners rescue, rehabilitate, and place injured or stray animals in foster or forever homes. Their dedication ensures healthy animals and healthy, safe communities.

We invest about $100,000 annually to support animal caregivers who:

  • organize local spay/neuter and vaccine clinics
  • conduct community education about animal care
  • rescue and rehabilitate stray or injured animals
  • place animals in fosteror  forever homes or transport to no-kill shelters
