First Peoples Fund (FPF) has announced the 2025 fellowship recipients, awarding 19 artists the Artist in Business Leadership Fellowship and 11 the Cultural Capital Fellowship. Each fellow will receive a $10,000 award along with year-long professional development. The total funding for this year’s fellowships has reached $300,000, marking an increase in support for Indigenous artists.

The Artist in Business Leadership Fellowship helps Native artists turn their creative practices into sustainable businesses, while the Cultural Capital Fellowship supports artists preserving and celebrating Indigenous heritage. FPF’s president, Justin Kíí Huenemann, expressed pride in the diverse talent of this year’s fellows, noting their contributions will continue to inspire future generations.

Since its inception, FPF has supported over 438 artists from 146 tribes across North America, distributing more than $10 million. FPF also offers workshops, community classes, and youth programs to further support Indigenous arts.
